Gardewine Group Inc.’s Northern Bulk division specializes in the handling and transportation of a wide variety of bulk commodities.
This division was created through an extension of an existing customer base, when Gardewine signed a contract with a mining company in Leaf Rapids, Manitoba in 1982. Soon after, Northern Bulk began hauling in other locations in Northern Manitoba, including Flin Flon and Snow Lake. This was followed by the wood chip business in Kenora and Fort Frances, Ontario.
Today, Northern Bulk is diversified in the type of products it can handle, ranging from lumber, wood chips, grain, sawdust, offal, and salt, to a variety of products related to the mining industry including ore, chemical concentrates, lime, and propane products.
