1. How do I determine if Gardewine services a particular destination?

Our points of service listing indicates all of our direct service points. If you require service to any other destination anywhere in the world, contact Northern Logistics, our freight brokerage division.

2. How do I obtain a proof of delivery or delivery receipt?

The fastest and most efficient way to get a proof of delivery is by using our Online Tracing.

3. Does Gardewine transport dangerous goods?

Gardewine does transport dangerous goods in strict accordance with the appropriate regulations in effect in Canada. Our operational employees are knowledgeable on procedures for transporting dangerous goods through continuous training and compliance programs. However, it is important to note that the Shipper is responsible for classifying, documenting, packaging and labeling dangerous goods. See Dangerous Goods Link

4. How do I calculate my shipment’s dimensional weight?

This may be useful because a shipment’s dimensional weight helps determine the freight rate. Our personnel are expected to ensure all relevant information required to calculate your shipment’s dimensional weight are on the shipping document when your shipment is tendered to us.

Dimensional weight is calculated as follows

length x width x height of shipment (in feet) x 14 pounds per cubic foot= Dimensional weight (in pounds)

e.g a pallet 4' x 4' x 6' (x 14 lbs/cuft) = 1,344 lb.

5. Who do I call if my shipment needs special handling?

Gardewine facilities are capable of handling almost any size, shape or density of freight. If your freight requires special consideration, note your needs on your bill of lading and tell your contact at your local facility or our general offices.
